Slice Seeding & OverseedingSlice Seeding Slice seeding is one the most efficient methods of introducing seed to soil contact. This process of seeding allows a greater germination rate over the standard overseeding methods. No tilling is required. No mess or mud. Slice seeding works well to fill in a thin lawn or start a new lawn from scratch. The machine slices the ground and deposits the seed directly into the soil at ¼" to ½" deep, and 1" apart. This method is recommended for:
OVERSEEDING Overseeding is a process where grass seed is dispersed evenly over thinning parts of the lawn or over the entire lawn to thicken it. It is a cost efficient method of slice seeding, but it is not as effective because the seeds are not sewn into the soil.
